Privacy Policy — SuperStarter

Last updated: July 3, 2026

SuperStarter is a Chrome extension that replaces the New Tab page with a personal dashboard: lofi radio, Todoist tasks, sticky notes, and weather. This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it goes, and what it doesn't do.

Summary: SuperStarter has no servers of its own. Everything it stores lives only in your browser. The only network requests it makes are the ones needed to show your weather, sync your Todoist tasks, stream radio audio, or search for a background photo — each sent directly from your browser to that service's own API, never through us.

Data stored on your device

All of the following is stored locally using Chrome's built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device except as described in the next section:

DataWhat it's for
Todoist API tokenLets the extension read/write your Todoist tasks, if you choose to connect it
Weather locationA searched city, an automatic IP-based estimate, or (if you opt in) precise GPS coordinates
Sticky notesThe text you write in the Notes widget
Selected radio stationWhich SomaFM stream plays by default
Widget layoutColumn count and the position/order of each widget
Background image choiceWhich photo (if any) you picked from Openverse
Appearance preferencesClear/glassy widgets toggle, and similar display settings

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of this, since it only ever existed in Chrome's local storage for this extension — nowhere else.

Data sent to third parties

SuperStarter contacts the following services directly from your browser, only when the corresponding feature is actively used. We do not operate, control, log, or have access to any of these services or the data sent to them — your browser talks to them directly, the same way it would if you visited their website.
